I've published a novelette on Kindle!!!
Yep, I have! It's called A Time to Love
Price: $2.99
About A Time to Love
With the War Between the States over, Leah Williams waits for her husband’s return. But that never happens. With no word if he’s alive, dead, or simply abandoned her, she struggles to go on. With the mortgage payments due and people pressuring her to remarry, does she have the strength to hold on? Or should she even wait for a man who might never return to her?
With so many unanswered questions, Leah must learn to lean on God implicitly. But will her blind faith be enough? Will God provide a way?

I'm SOOO proud of you!! Just got my copy, but no idea when I'll get to it. I have quite a list of books to read!
So, question--What's the difference between a novela and a novellete? I'm curious like a cat. ;-)

Kait - Thanks, though thankfully A Time to Love has gone through a lot of changes since you read it. I did a total rewrite, and am very glad I did. :-)
April - Yay! I hope you do enjoy it when you get a chance to dive in!
Good question! Well, the first time I wrote A Time to Love (several years ago), I just called it a short story. But when I picked it up again and rewrote it, I figured that 10k words was kinda long for a short story. So I did some research! :-) I found out that it was too long for a short story, but too short for a novella. And that's where I found a novelette, which is a story that's between 7k and 10k words, I think.! :-D I guess you'd say it's like a mini-novella.
Congrats Katie!!! Awesome job on the cover. Did you advertise on Kindle boards yet?
K Victoria - Kindle boards? I haven't heard of that before. What does it do?
How totally exciting! I would love to read it someday. :) Once I get a Kindle, this is one I'll buy! The cover is amazing.
Charity - What a relief!! I worked nearly all day on the cover, so I'm glad you like it! :-D
Hope you enjoy it, when you get your kindle! ;-)
Congratulations! It's sounds amazing! I'd love to read it! As soon as I can add it to my to read list on goodreads and other sites I will.
Well I'll have to get it and read it then! :D
Hi, Katie, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I just found out about this!! How exciting!! I'm so happy and proud for you!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Now I have a question...is there any chance you might later on publish this as a paperback? I prefer to read printed books, and don't even own a Kindle. Oh, I hope so, because then I'll definitely buy it!!
Let me know!! : )
Margaret - Thank you for the support! And I hope you enjoy reading it!
Jane - Thanks!
Maria - HEY!!! Happy New Year to you, too! Wowza, hard to believe it's officially 2012! :-D
That's a good question. I don't think so...at least, for right now, it's just going to be in Kindle. It's only around 9k words, so kinda short to publish, as I'd probably have to charge more for a paperback...and it's not too long a book, so that wouldn't really be worth it, to others, to pay so much for such a short book. Make sense? But, since you mentioned that, I might look into it in the near future, if I write something a bit longer, like a novella. But since this is a novelette...idk, I think I'll leave it a Kindle for now.
But who knows! Things could change. If it does, you will be the first to know, Maria!!
