Remember that writing contest I finaled in? The TARA? Well, a few weeks ago...okay, take that back, it was more like months...but anyways! A lil' while back I got a call from an excited woman letting me know that my entry, The Princess' Assassin, placed second in the romantic suspense category!
Yes, I'm serious!! Needless to say, I was excited! Not sure why or how it slipped my mind and I never told y'all...but I'm making up for it now! I am so thankful and exited to have placed in this contest! This is the first year I've ever entered a big contest like this and, while I entered three and only placed 2nd in one, I am still encouraged by all the feedback I've gotten. It's inspiring and helps me to keep on writing, no matter the headache, writers block, or long hours that I will have to put into my book. It will all be worth it in the end, if it's the Lord's will!

I entered writing contests when I was in college, but haven't done any recently. I'm thinking of trying to submit a short story next year, perhaps.

Haha! Well, I don't mean to rub my books in your face...but it makes for good eye candy, no? :-) I'm thinking of doing a post where I showcase a bookshelf and talk about the books and why they earned a permanent place on my bookshelf. Would you be interested? Or no? Just a thought! :-)
