For this week I grabbed the book I just got last week and one I am very eager to jump into. It's Laura Frantz upcoming release, Love's Reckoning!! Isn't that cover just GORGEOUS?!
'Twas time for his daughter to wed, Papa said. But he had a curious way of bringing wedded bliss about, sending all the way to Philadelphia for a suitor. Eden Lee felt the dread of it clear to her toes. The ticking of the tall case clock turned the quiet, candlelit room more tense. Was it her imagination, or was her father about to do something rash?
My Thoughts: Yikes, that sounds a little scary! I mean, that's the rest of your life that you suddenly feel your father is "about to do something rash" with! I love the voice that Laura uses--it's so...back-in-the-day-ish! (Haha, VERY weird word combo, but you know what I mean!) I already know I'm going to like this Eden Lee! And I can't wait to find out who it is that her father sent for, and expects her to enter "wedded bliss" with! :-P

That's one of the downsides of not being able to decide your own fate for your self...that somebody rash will do it for you.
